HISTORY:

KINCARDINE GUEST CABINS WERE BUILT BY MY FATHER ART GUEST, IN 1948.
MY GRANDPARENTS, TOM GUEST AND ROSEELLEN BUSHELL BUILT THE HOUSE IN 1938  AT 392 QUEEN STREET IN KINCARDINE.
HE WAS THE SON OF WILLIAM GUEST WHO OWNED THE PROPERTY THAT IS NOW THE BLACKHORSE GOLF COURSE IN KINLOSS, (ON GUEST AVENUE)
MY FATHER WHO WAS ART GUEST BUILD THE CABINS IN 1948 IN HIS SPARE TIME WHEN HE WORKED AT CHERRY FLOUR MILLS IN CAMBRIDGE AND THEN BROUGHT THE CABINS TO KINCARDINE ON A WAGON PREFAB AND THEN PUT THEM TOGETHER ON THE PROPERTY, IN 1948, PREFAB WAS NOT INVENTED UNTIL 1970'S.
THERE WERE NO MOTELS IN KINCARDINE AT THAT TIME, SO HE BUILD THE CABINS FOR THE TOWN REUNION IN THE SUMMER OF 1948.
IT HAS BEEN SAID THAT THE SAWDUST WAS NOT EVEN OFF THE FLOOR BEFORE PEOPLE WERE IN WITH THEIR SUITCASES! THERE WERE  VERY FEW OTHER ACCOMMODATIONS IN KINCARDINE OTHER THAN THE BRUCE INN UPTOWN AND THE WALKER HOUSE.
NEXT DOOR TO US WAS BENNY RUTTLES HORSE RACING TRACK.

WE HAVE UPDATED THE WALLS, PLUMBING, ELECTRICITY. THE CABINS ARE NOW VERY INSULATED AND HAVE BASEBOARD ELECTRIC HEAT, AIR CONDITIONING, AND EACH CABIN HAS ITS OWN HOT WATER TANK.

WE HAVE WIFI, CABLE TV, A PLAYGROUND, BBQ'S, PICNIC TABLES, FIREPIT.

IN 1948 ROOMS AND HOUSES WERE NOT AS BIG AS WE EXPECT TODAY

EACH IS A SEPARATE CABANA GIVING YOU THE COMFORT OF A LITTLE HOME ALL FOR YOURSELF.
